Everyone has heard about the ‘work ethic’, but what if having a ‘Consciousness Ethic’ or awareness ethic, is what’s really important? Love Consciousness suggests that it is.
If the belief in a work ethic and what your awareness says ever differ, then to favour a work ethic above Consciousness or awareness, is not only a self-judgement, it’s also counter-productive to leading a fulfilling and successful life.
To give a couple of examples, a work ethic can both drive you too hard, so that other days – and the sum total of overall work – is less effective, and it can also shut out awareness of better opportunities and options, and receiving.
It also creates self-doubt to put a work ethic above a ‘Consciousness Ethic’, or immediate awareness.
Do yourself a favour and ditch the work ethic in favour of a Consciousness Ethic. In moments when a Consciousness Ethic says to work you can always follow that when it does anyway.
